Established in 2005, the Client Choice awards recognise those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. The criteria for the awards focus on law firms' ability to add real value to their clients' business above and beyond the other players in the market.
ILO, in association with the Association of Corporate Counsel, launched the Global Counsel Awards to recognise those in-house legal teams and individuals that excel in their specific roles. The primary aim is to reward lawyers for demonstrable achievements across the full spectrum of in-house responsibility, and not simply those who have acted on high-profile transactions. Awards are presented across the following categories: Competition, Corporate Tax, Employment, General Commercial, Intellectual Property, Litigation, M&A, Regulatory (Financial Services), Regulatory (Non-financial Services) and General Counsel of the Year.
The Global Counsel Awards also incorporate the Asia-Pacific, European and Latin American Counsel Awards. Winners from these programmes are automatically shortlisted for the Global Counsel Awards.
