Mr Mikael Rosenmejer Partner Plesner - Lawyer Biography - International Law Office

Mikael Rosenmejer is a partner in the Insurance and Tort Law Department and the Corporate Law Department.

Mikael Rosenmejer has been a partner in the law firm since 1980. Through the years, he has advised Danish and foreign clients, especially about corporate law, contract law, mergers and acquisitions and insurance and tort law, especially product liability. In this connection, he has conducted a large number of legal and arbitration proceedings, also before the Supreme Court, the European Court of Justice and international arbitration tribunals. Mikael Rosenmejer’s litigation experience has lead to him being elected as a member of the Board of the Danish association of experienced Supreme Court litigators.

One of Mikael Rosenmejer’s areas of expertise is insurance and tort law. His ties to this area were formalised in 1977 when he became secretary of the Danish association for insurance law, of which he has been chairman since 1988. In 1990, he was elected as member of the Presidential Council of the International Association for Insurance Law, AIDA (www.aida.org.uk). In 1994, he became Vice President and since 1998 he has been President of the world-wide organisation with chapters in 60 countries. Among other things, Mikael Rosenmejer is a member of AIDA’s working parties on product liability, pollution liability, and reinsurance.
