Background
Trish Morrison is a partner in the Calgary office. She graduated law school
from the University of Calgary in 1997 and was admitted to the Alberta bar in
1998, after completing her articles with the firm. Upon conclusion of her studies
at law school, Ms. Morrison was awarded the Silver Medallion as recipient of
the Campbell McLaurin Achievement Award.
Areas of Practice
- Commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction and surety issues,
product liability and insurance defence
Professional Experience
- Ms. Morrison has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta, including
prosecuting Income Tax Act and other federal statute offences for the Federal
Crown
- Ms. Morrison offers experience in:
- Construction litigation, including builders lien, tendering and
surety disputes, acting on behalf of owners, contractors, subcontractors,
lenders and sureties.
- Wide range of tort litigation, including product liability claims. Has
acted in claims involving significant property damage or personal injury
arising out of alleged negligence or breach of contract.
- Ms. Morrison has been involved in numerous commercial and corporate
disputes, a number of which have been resolved through mediation or other
methods of alternative dispute resolution.
