Mr. Ciccu Mukhopadhaya is a Senior Partner with Amarchand Mangaldas. Mr. Mukhopadhaya has been elected as one of the 15 Vice Presidents of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Court of International Arbitration.
Mr. Mukhopadhaya straddles both the non-contentious and the litigation practice groups of the Firm and has enormous experience in corporate commercial law, litigation and arbitration. He is well known for his expertise in the fields of projects, mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures.
Mr. Mukhopadhaya has had an illustrious career and has worked with some of the top jurists of the country. He has advised on a wide variety of issues ranging from constitutional, labour and employment laws, environmental laws, commercial laws and MRTP matters. He has advised on various legislations in the country and has suggested amendments for the same to various Government of India departments.
He has advised and represented many domestic and international corporates on issues of intricate corporate structuring, contract executions and litigations including domestic and international arbitrations. Mr. Mukhopadhaya has been actively involved in large number of arbitration both domestic and international, under ICC, LCIA, Gafta, FOSFA and Adhoc arbitrations. He is actively involved in court proceedings including reference to arbitrations, post award challenges and enforcement of foreign awards.
His expertise in non-litigation work includes drafting of international commercial contracts, contracts for transfer of technology and major supply agreements. He has advised numerous domestic and international corporates on turnkey contracts for setting up infrastructure and energy projects and for financial assistance in relation to the same.
