EXPERIENCE
Peggy A. Heeg, a partner in the Houston office, is a member of the firm's Corporate
and Energy Practice Groups. An energy industry veteran, Peggy has 20 years of
legal experience and has served as executive vice president and general counsel
for one of the largest natural gas companies in the United States. She has firsthand
experience in energy and regulatory transactions, corporate governance, internal
investigations, compliance and records management programs and energy antitrust
litigation. In addition, Peggy serves as a member of the firm's Executive Committee.
Peggy's representative new matters include:
- Representation of corporations and Boards of Directors in all aspects of
corporate governance
- Representation of an energy company in all aspects of pipeline project development
activities
- Representation of an energy company in the acquisition of pipeline assets
- Representation of an energy company in internal investigation and criminal
defense
- Development of anti-manipulation training program for energy company
- Development of comprehensive regulatory compliance programs
- Development of ethics and compliance and records management programs
- Representation of original investors in IPO
- Representation of an energy company in LNG project development activities
- Representation of interstate natural gas pipeline companies in FERC matters
- Representation of a major producer in antitrust litigation
In addition, Peggy has managed the legal aspects of a variety of energy transactions
ranging from corporate mergers to project development work to litigated proceedings
before the FERC.
