Christoph Küppers has been Regional Managing Partner Continental Europe since January 2009. He has been a partner in the firm's Dusseldorf office since 2001.
Christoph has broad expertise in tax and accounting law. He advises on all aspects of corporate income tax, accounting law and on the tax law implications of acquisitions and restructurings, including in a cross-border context. During the past years Christoph has frequently advised financial institutions (insurance companies and banks) with a focus on the restructuring of German and European insurance groups. He also advises private equity houses on the acquisition of stakeholdings in Germany. In addition he advises on the tax aspects of structural changes to company pension schemes.
Prior to joining Lovells he worked for nine years for two international tax accounting firms; from 1994 to 2001 he was with KPMG (of which the last three years as partner). Christoph is visiting lecturer for commercial insurance law for companies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt.
