Equal Treatment for EU and US Companies

February 11 2002

On January 9 2002 the Ministry of Trade wrote to all ministries and people's committees in Vietnam (Letter 0090/TM-AM) regarding equal treatment for EU companies doing business in Vietnam.

The letter confirms that EU and US companies will be treated equally in terms of commercial business transactions, and that EU companies will receive no less favourable terms and conditions than their US counterparts under the US-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement.
