The Competition Appeal Board has overruled a decision of the Competition Council regarding the right of film distributors to be informed of cinema ticket prices when calculating the royalties payable to them. The board also acknowledged the right of film distributors to suspend delivery where cinema ticket prices fail to cover their costs.
