Mr Koliothomas advises on all aspects of contentious and
non-contentious IP and IT law. He has a wealth of experience
in the creation, protection and exploitation of trademarks,
patents, copyright, database rights and know-how. He has
also handled the IP and IT aspects of mergers, acquisitions,
disposals and joint ventures, in particular advising on the
transfer of information technology and IP rights, together with
licensing and franchising agreements. Mr Koliothomas has
pursued and defended claims arising in relation to trademarks,
unfair competition, industrial designs and patents.
Mr Koliothomas gained his LLM in intellectual property
law from Queen Mary, University of London and has been
with POTAMITISVEKRIS since 2005.
Mr Koliothomas has published various articles pertaining
to his practice area. He was the national correspondent for
Greece in a study entitled “Monitoring and Analysis of
Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Regimes and
their Use”, which was carried out on behalf of the European
Commission and published in 2009.
