Mathias Meyer specialises in all aspects of trademark law.
He drafts trademark searches and filing strategies, negotiates
licence contracts and co-existence or delimitation agreements,
files oppositions and appeals and defends national and
international marks before the Swiss Federal Institute of
Intellectual Property. Mr Meyer has more than 20 years’
professional experience and takes care of his clients’ needs.
Mr Meyer is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.
He always aims to reach cost-efficient and tailor-made
solutions for the national and international clientele of
E Blum & Co AG. Together with his team and colleagues,
he is committed to meeting the highest-quality standards
that clients may expect.
Mr Meyer worked as a trademark attorney with E Blum
& Co from 1989 to 1998. From 1991 he was head of the firm’s
trademark department and from 1994 he was a member of the
management. Between 1998 and 2009 he was the main
stakeholder and chief executive officer of Meyer Marks AG.
In 2009 he returned to E Blum & Co as a partner and a member
of the management, and with a place on the board of directors.
Mr Meyer co-authored the Swiss chapter of the
Practical
Law Company Cross-Border Intellectual Property Handbook
from 2003 to 2008. He is a member of the Swiss Institute for
Intellectual Property, the International Trademark Association
and the International Association for the Protection of
Intellectual Property (Switzerland).
