Zubair Mir is an international corporate finance lawyer
specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity,
telecommunications and investment fund formations.
Mr Mir also advises on the creation of

-compliant
investment vehicles and the undertaking of corporate finance
transactions on a

Mr Mir’s recent transactions include advising Bharti Airtel
on its $10.7 billion acquisition of Kuwait-based Zain’s
telecommunications businesses in 15 African countries,
the second-largest acquisition ever by an Indian company;
advising Investcorp Gulf Opportunity Fund on the acquisition
of a minority stake in Gulf Cryo, a leading industrial company
based in Kuwait; and advising on the acquisition of a majority
stake in L’Azurde, the world’s fourth-largest gold and jewellery
manufacturer, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mr Mir
also advised Investcorp Bank on setting up the $1 billion
private equity Investcorp Gulf Opportunity Fund.
