Fredrik Svensson graduated from Lund University with an LLM
in 2001 and was an Erasmus student at the University of
Westminster in London. He joined Mannheimer Swartling in 2001
and is a partner in the firm’s Moscow office, where he has been
a resident since 2007. Before this, Mr Svensson worked in the
firm’s Stockholm and Malmö offices and was seconded to the
European Investment Bank in Luxembourg from 2003 to 2004.
Mr Svensson has a broad background as a practitioner of
banking and finance and capital markets law in Sweden, the
Baltic states and Russia and the rest of the Commonwealth of
Independent States. His practice also includes advising clients
from the Nordic region on general corporate and transaction-
related legal issues.
Mr Svensson is a member of the Swedish Bar Association.
He serves on the board of the International Section of the
Swedish Bar Association and is a member of the Association
of European Business’s committee on finance and investment
in Russia. He is also the author of

, published by the Oxford University
Press in 2006.
