Matthias Eggert advises on structured finance, loan portfolio
transactions, corporate and acquisition finance and
securitisation. He focuses on real estate transactions, including
real estate loan portfolio transactions, financings of real estate
acquisitions and securitisations of real estate loans.
Mr Eggert’s clients include a German bank in relation to
acquisition finance and corporate loans. Highlights of his recent
experience include advising Dutch investor group Novapars
Capital on the acquisition of a
115 million German portfolio
of residential real estate loans; advising an international bank
on the
130 million financing of a residential real estate loan
portfolio; and advising an issuer of commercial mortgage-
backed securities on different levels of the transaction structure
related to the insolvency of the originator, and BDO Deutsche
Warentreuhand AG, Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, in its
capacity as trustee in connection with a synthetic securitisation
of commercial real estate loans.
Legal 500
has cited him as a distinguished adviser in
real estate securitisations and he was described in
Juve
as “entrepreneurial, strategic, confirmed and experienced”.
Mr Eggert and his team have recently moved to Baker
& McKenzie’s Munich office.
