Elliott Geisinger is a partner and head of Schellenberg
Wittmer’s arbitration group in Geneva. His practice focuses on
international commercial arbitration. He has acted as counsel
and arbitrator in a large number of complex cases in several
fields, including construction and engineering, distribution, sale
of goods, joint ventures and consortium agreements. He also
represents clients in Swiss court proceedings relating to
arbitration, having acted as counsel of record in several leading
cases in the field. Mr Geisinger regularly provides advice to
clients on Swiss substantive law, particularly contract law.
He has also developed a successful practice of contract
management in long-term infrastructure projects.
Mr Geisinger was admitted to the Swiss Bar in 1994 after
graduating
summa cum laude
from the Law School of the
University of Geneva. From 1999 to 2003 he sat on the
arbitration committee of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce
and Industry. He became vice president of the Swiss Arbitration
Association in 2010. Mr Geisinger is fluent in English, French
and German, and has a good reading knowledge of Italian.
