Elie Kleiman, based in our Paris office specialises in the area of dispute resolution. His experience includes advising and representing North American and European clients in pre-litigious and litigious matters involving, in particular, cross-border as well as domestic issues of corporate law (M&A, joint ventures), banking, distribution, industrial risk and damage control, fraud and bankruptcy. He has trial experience before the courts of France and the European Court of Justice. He has acted as counsel in numerous arbitral proceedings (including ICC and ICSID).

Elie Kleiman was born in 1963, attended the University of Paris and was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1990. He is also a Legal Consultant in the State of New York where he practised for two years in the period 1998-2000. Prior to joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, he was a partner in Jeantet & Associés, one of France’s leading law firms.

He is fluent in French and English.
