Experience

Don DeGabrielle joined Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P.'s Houston office in 2008. He is a partner in the Firm's international governmental investigations and white collar defense practice, and chairs the Houston practice group. He joined the Firm following 22 years of public service in the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of Texas and served the last three years as the U.S. Attorney leading a staff of 170 Assistant United States Attorneys and 150 support personnel.

Don's experience includes leading the Criminal Division within the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas and an assignment with the Public Integrity Unit where he gained extensive trial experience in public corruption, white collar, environmental, bank fraud and general criminal and narcotics cases. He spent a year as the Resident Legal Adviser to the South African National Directorate of Public Prosecutions serving as a consultant and adviser for rule of law and criminal justice development. Don has conducted more than 50 federal criminal jury trials and over 150 state criminal jury trials as an A.D.A. in New Orleans. He is also a former FBI Special Agent in New York and New Orleans.
