Amendments to Preliminary Injunctions in Civil Proceedings

On April 1 2005 a new amendment to the Civil Procedure Code modifying the regulation of preliminary injunctions in civil proceedings came into force.

As of April 1 2005, a claimant requesting a preliminary injunction is obliged to pay an advance payment of Kr50,000 (or Kr100,000 in commercial disputes) as a security for potential damages which the preliminary injunction may cause the defendant.
