Roberto Valenti is, along with Gualtiero Dragotti, the Partner responsible for the Intellectual Property practice within the Intellectual Property & Technology department.
He coordinates the Life Sciences sector activities of the Italian practice. He is based in the Milan office.
Roberto focuses on IP litigation, including matters relating to trademarks, copyrights, designs, unfair competition and misleading and comparative advertising. He also has experience dealing with IP non-contentious matters, such as drafting licence and transfer agreements relating to trademarks, copyrights and designs.
Roberto specialises in verifying IP portfolios and evaluation of intangible assets in M&A scenarios.
There is an increasing trend towards full publication of data resulting from clinical trials sponsored by the Italian pharmaceutical industry. However, the industry has also highlighted the importance of protecting confidential and commercially sensitive information. The policy of the Italian Pharmaceutical Authority on this matter mirrors that of the European Medicines Agency.
