Calvin has extensive experience in litigating intellectual property disputes in federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. He has represented clients in a wide variety of fields, including smartphone technology, mobile applications, and enterprise software.
As a former federal law clerk, Calvin has particular experience in federal litigation. In 2011, he briefly left Venable to serve as an inaugural law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Wilkins in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, now a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
