On January 21 2016 the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) launched a new website to provide the public with information about whistleblower rights and protections and to allow the public to submit tips about potential violations of the Commodity Exchange Act via the website.

The website:

  • guides users through filing a tip and applying for an award; and
  • contains accessible information about the rules and regulations governing the CFTC's whistleblower programme and related updates.

The website is available at www.whistleblower.gov.
