In 2015 the Competition Authority issued 51 decisions addressing:

  • restrictive agreements (six decisions);
  • abuse of dominance (three decisions);
  • merger control (11 decisions); and
  • recommendations, complaints, reviews and procedural activities.

Fifty complaints were submitted to the authority in 2015 (up from 33 in 2014). Of the 50 complaints, 22 related to the electronic communications market. The financial market also came into focus because of the authority's merger control work.

The authority often faces delays in court proceedings and 2015 was no exception, with six commission decisions appealed before the court.
