The Competition Authority has recently published two new bylaws concerning merger control.

The Guidelines on Concentrations were published on May 30 2013 in order to promote a better understanding of the issues related to concentrations of undertakings on the market. They are intended to provide guidance and clarification on the merger control regime established by the Competition Act.

The Instructions on the Manner of Submitting Merger Notifications were published on July 11 2013. They concer the content and form of merger notifications and their purpose is to elaborate on the provisions of the Ordinance on the Form and Content of Merger Notifications.

Undertakings submitting notifications may find the guidance in these bylaws useful when preparing filings. The guidelines are aligned with Competition Authority practice developed so far.
