The government has issued a regulation on the use of trustees in merger cases. It etablishes:
The Norwegian model is based on the European Commission's guidelines and models in respect of trustees. Although under Norwegian law it is the Competition Authority that appoints the trustee and enters into an agreement with him or her, it is still up to the affected party to cover the costs associated with the trustee.
