On 15 September 2020 the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) announced that it had opened two bid-rigging investigations concerning public tenders for forestry services.

In one case, the UOKiK is investigating Lesnik "T" Mariusz Czekierylo, Uslugi Transportowo–Lesne "TRANS-MAR" Marek Stasiak and Uslugi Wielobranzowe Józef Czekierylo.

The second case is against Anna Wlodarczyk Uslugi Lesne, Ryszard Maksym Radoslaw Maksym Firma Uslugowa and Lesnik "T" Mariusz Czekierylo.

UOKiK President Tomasz Chróstny stated that the businesses are suspected of attempting to rig tenders launched by the Niedzwiady Forest District in Western Pomerania.

According to Chróstny, the businesses whose bids were selected may have deliberately failed to provide necessary information, so their bids were discarded, forcing the forest district authorities to select the next best, more expensive bid.

Chróstny stated that the bidders may have also collaborated with each other at the bid submission phase.

According to the UOKiK, both tenders were cancelled after another unnamed bidder claimed that the winning bidders had rigged the process.
