One of the tasks of the Commission for the Protection of Competition is the issuance of opinions regarding the implementation of competition regulations.

The commission recently announced that after 10 years in operation, it believes that it is time to introduce changes to its existing practice of issuing opinions on request by market participants.

The commission will now focus on matters relevant to the implementation of regulations that either were never explored or require additional clarification due to the changes that have since occurred. It also stressed that it will not examine matters or requests relating to hypothetical situations.

The commission is certain that market participants will understand the necessity of directing its available capacity towards other priorities. However, its annual report and online announcements will continue to contain its opinions and answers to questions posed by email relating to the implementation of competition regulations.
