On June 24 2003 the State Stock Market and Securities Commission of Ukraine adopted Decision 295, amending the Resolution on the Provision of Special Information by Open Joint Stock Companies and Bond Issuers. The decision was registered with the Ministry of Justice on July 23 2003 (635/7956).
According to this decision, all joint stock companies (whether public or private) and bond issuers must provide the commission with a special information report within two working days of any of the following events:
The special information report must also be published in one of the official
periodicals of the stock exchange on which the company's shares are listed.
However, the decision does not specify where the special information reports
of closed joint stock companies must be published - according to the Ukrainian
Companies Act, the shares of closed joint stock companies may not be circulated
on the stock exchanges.
