Following recent news on the amendments to the Patented Medicines Regulations and related guidance, the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board has announced that:
- the amended Patented Medicines Regulations will now come into force on 1 January 2021; and
- a revised set of draft guidelines will be published during the week of 15 June 2020, followed by a 30-day consultation period.
The most immediate and practical effect of this change is that reporting requirements due by 30 July 2020 of sales and pricing information for the period from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2020 will be governed by the current regulations.
