On 1 April 2019, in accordance with Section 9(1) of the Certificate of Supplementary Protection (CSP) Regulations, the fee for filing a CSP increased from C$9,192 to C$9,376 (for further details please see "Certificate of supplementary protection regime: first anniversary update").

As a reminder, a CSP does not require the payment of annuities or annual maintenance fees. Further, the annual maintenance fees required to maintain the related patent end when the 20-year patent term expires.
